EASA General Exemption E 5026 authorises the EXTENSION of most existing EASA Part-Med Class 1 Medical Certificates, expiring between 23/03/2020 and 31/10/2020, until 22/11/2020.
If you are a pilot falling into this category, you can continue to fly until 22/11/2020, as long as you carry a copy of your expired medical and a copy of the General Exemption notice in your licence.

Graduated as a doctor from The University of Sheffield Medical School in 1992. She trained as an Anaesthetist and has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist in Birmingham since 2002. Her interest in Aviation Medicine started when she trained as a pilot and obtained a PPL in 2011. She was appointed by the CAA to perform aviation medicals in 2012. Ben works half time as a GP at the Laurie Pike Health centre in Birmingham previously having been an Honorary clinical lecturer for Birmingham university.
